With years of experience and wide legal knowledge, David Rooke is a dependable resource in any legal matter. Shortly after graduating from Auckland University Law School, David was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1974. He practises in family law and civil litigation and appears regularly in the District, Family and High Courts in and about Auckland.

Since 1980, David has been a convenor of the Legal Roster of the Citizens Advice Bureau at Pakuranga. He has also been a member of the Family Law Section and the Property Law Section of the NZ Law Society. In 2006, he was awarded recognition for more than 25 years of experience in family law by the Family Law Section.

In addition to litigation, David has acted as legal adviser to various companies, small businesses and private clients in matters ranging from commercial and specialist transactions, estates and trusts administration, civil court proceedings to residential conveyancing and wills.

We maintain a client focused mindset with close ties to our founding values and community.  While we are based in East Auckland, we’re also at times handling matters for clients overseas, such as the UK, Europe and the United States.
